Happy New Year! We're pumped to be back from the holidays and are excited to make some magic happen in 2013. It's the first Thursday of the new year and we're thrilled to share a thrift'n and craft'n combo!

L ... is for love, laughter, life, longevity! We spotted this ornate letter "L" originally in white, but then we spray painted it gold and we're digging the look. It's vibrant and bold, and the best part is that it looks expensive. The price? Only $6. Woohoo!!

I'm so smitten by the vintage photograph table runner. I love how it creates dimension and texture and how it even drops to the ground! What a fun idea to personalize your wedding by having pics of you and your guests at every table -- it'd be such a great conversation starter! Oh, and the anenomes growing out of the wine glass?? Love. So fun and creative!!

Hope everyone is safe and sound from Hurricane Sandy! We're doing a-okay out here in Brooklyn. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the storm.

With tomorrow being Halloween, it felt appropriate to have a tablescape post with pumpkins!

Look at these cuties ... the color blocking and the various heights on the candlesticks are adorable. And that flower arrangement is perfection. Gotta love the non-traditional usage of ordinary items!

Happy Thursday!

This week's find is going to have a bit a twist -- a thrift'n and craft'n combo!

Instead of using a bird cage or luggage, I wanted to find a non-traditional card box for my client that fit more of her style. When I spotted this vintage box for $12, I knew it was meant to be! It was the perfect green and I knew just the way to make it work for her wedding.

I lined the interiors with burlap patterned paper, crafted a "cards" sign with navy blue card stock paper and hung it with navy + white striped baker's twine ... andvoilà! All for less than $15!
