Hip hip hooray!! Here are more photos of the wedding we designed from earlier this summer. We had a blast collaborating with the lovely couple and incorporating details that made their big day uniquely them.

thrift'n on a thursday | vol 3

hannah shih

Happy Thursday!

This week's find is going to have a bit a twist -- a thrift'n and craft'n combo!

Instead of using a bird cage or luggage, I wanted to find a non-traditional card box for my client that fit more of her style. When I spotted this vintage box for $12, I knew it was meant to be! It was the perfect green and I knew just the way to make it work for her wedding.

I lined the interiors with burlap patterned paper, crafted a "cards" sign with navy blue card stock paper and hung it with navy + white striped baker's twine ... andvoilà! All for less than $15!

go green!

In honor of my best friend's birthday today, I wanted to make a special post about her favorite color: green!

When I asked Ms. Diane Wu what main color she'd like to incorporate for her wedding, she responded "green." Most people would find this normal, but I giggled and explained that there are so many different kinds of greens!

I finally got her to show me the green she loved so dearly via the lovely BHLDN dress above (which is our bridesmaids dress!). We came to discover that this green is actually quite hard to describe because of the various hues that exist.

Thus, I've been calling it a bright, emerald, apple and kelly kinda green. With any of these keywords, you'll definitely stumble on this beautiful color. I even got myself a pair of pants in this color, so thank you Diane for inspiring me.

May today be filled with sunshine and smiles, laughter and love!
